We are Looking for Three New Board Members!

Announcement – Three Open Board Seats.  Applications due on January 10, 2020.

The OTCA Board has three open seats.  All members of the OTCA are eligible to apply.

Board vacancy application process:

Please send in a one-pager consisting of a short bio and responses to the following questions to our Board Chair, Helen Ying at Chair@pdxoldtown.org by end of day on Friday, January 10, 2020.

  1. Why are you interested in serving on the OTCA board?
  2. What will you bring to the OTCA board?
  3. Serving on the board requires attendance at monthly board meetings, strongly encouraged attendance at monthly community meetings and commitment to at least one committee (that also meets monthly and carries out tasks that require additional time) for an average minimum of 5 hours a month. What committee interests you the most and why?

Applicants will be invited to a short interview at the OTCA Board meeting on January 15, 2020 at 11:30 am.

Old Town boundaries:

The eastern boundary is the Willamette River, the southern most boundary is SW Stark Street, the western boundary is NW Broadway from the Broadway Bridge to W Burnside and from W Burnside to SW 3rd Avenue, south on SW 3rd Avenue to SW Pine, east on SW Pine Street to SW 2nd Avenue, south on SW 2nd Avenue to SW Oak Street, east on SW Oak Street to SW 1st Avenue and south on SW 1st Avenue to SW Stark Street, and the northern boundary is the Broadway Bridge.

Any person who resides or owns property in the area within the Old Town boundaries is eligible for membership in the association. Any business licensee or private non-profit organization located in the area described above who wants to be a member of OTCA shall designate one representative who shall exercise the voting right of said licensee or organization. The designated representative may be changed by submitting written notice to the Association.
