Artist Shannon Amidon will be will be sharing the tools, processes and materials she uses to create her encaustic paintings at Lan Su Garden.

Amidon is a local artist, beekeeper, environmental steward, wonder seeker, and lover of insects, books, and plants who has been featured in exhibitions around the world.

She is also the founder and director of The Verdancy Project in Troutdale, OR, a multidisciplinary community-oriented art experiment with a mission of fostering curiosity and inspiring environmental stewardship.
