Our Markets, Exhibitions, Street Parties, and Festivals highlight the work and achievements of our diverse mix of cultures, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for the rich tapestry of traditions that make Old Town a truly vibrant and inclusive community.

Electric Light Way Portland Winter Lights Festival

Ankeny Alley businesses, Portland Chinatown Museum, Lan Su Garden and OTCA present ELECTRIC LIGHT WAY, a kaleidoscopic journey though historic Old Town. As participants in the Portland Winter Lights Festival, Ankeny Alley, a new festival hum will feature the Nautilus a large scale artwork . Activations, art and festivities continue down NW 3rd all the way to NW Everett.

OTCA HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA

For the workers, residents, businesses and friends of Old Town, we are celebrating you this season with a holiday shindig.

We know how much you endure over the course of the year and we see you. This is a chance to connect with the community over lovely food and drinks, music, baby goats and a Sears portrait studio. Come one come all, RSVP by Wednesday December 18. Family and friends must RSVP individually to insure we have enough food.

Connecting Community through Art

Connecting Community through Art is a collaboration of four nonprofits, hosted by City Team, with Better Neighbors, Going Home II, and Oregon Harbor Of Hope.


This event will feature artist Kirk Charlton and his "My Personal Experience" show. His graphite drawings depict images and events from his time being incarcerated.


Along with additional artwork by incarcerated or formally incarcerated individuals, refreshments, music, presentations, and a silent auction.


This event is a great opportunity to see some incredible art, meet the artists, and learn about the amazing work these four nonprofits are doing.

Matsutake Mushroom Hunting Lecture

Saturday, October 5, 1-2pm

220 PDX - 220 NW 2nd Ave, Portland

As part of JAMO’s exhibit Made With Love

Amy Peterson, who leads the Japanese American Museum of Oregon’s annual matsutake hunt, will give a talk on mushroom hunting in Oregon, how to identify mushrooms, equipment needed, and where to find mushrooms locally.
